Tiny Dancer

Caitlyn's last dance class was today. We were invited to watch and take zillions of pictures! Caitlyn was too stinkin' cute. She followed all of the directions and took her dancing very seriously. I was the ridiculously proud parent alternating between camera and video while grinning ear-to-ear. The pictures speak for themselves. I'll work on video later.

I L-O-V-E Craigslist

Beware, long story. So, when we were ready for a double stroller, I posted our single BOB on Craigslist. It sold very quickly and easily and actually ended up going overseas. We replaced it with a Phil and Ted's. The P&T was great while the girls were smaller. But recently, I've been itching to get some exercise and walking with the girls is my best chance of doing so. However, Caitlyn weighs in at 36lbs and Ashley is 21lbs. 57lbs is a whole lot of kid to push around. The P&T was not comfortable for me at all. Not to mention, one of the girls had to ride in back and no one wanted to do that. I kicked myself 100 times for not just going with the double BOB. Then I started watching Craig's List. Double BOBs were pretty hard to come by. But a couple weeks ago, someone posted one that was less than two years old and in excellent condition (it barely looked used). I think she posted at 12:10 and I happened to look at 12:30 and responded. I knew I could sell our P&T for the price she was asking for her BOB. But there wasn't time for me to sell ours first, so Brian took a leap of faith and we got the BOB. I posted the P&T that night and within 24 hours, had 15 responses! We sold it for exactly what we paid for the BOB. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the double BOB. I have been walking the lake almost every day. The girls are really comfortable and happy to ride and the BOB has a 100lb weight limit, so it still has a lot of life left in it. I love Craigslist!!!

Fancy Nancy

When we went to the library last week, we checked out a copy of "Fancy Nancy" for the first time. I'd seen the book pretty much everywhere, but had never read it. It's a very sweet story and Caitlyn LOVES it! She is into being "Fancy Caitlyn" now at various points throughout the day. Tonight she was still feeling under the weather. A package arrived from Ebay. Inside were new moo cow pajamas. Caitlyn had outgrown her very favorite pair of PJ's of all time. I found a brand new replacement pair on Ebay. She was ecstatic to say the very least. She rushed through bath so she could get dressed. She must have felt fancy, because she then found her fancy hat and wand to complete the ensemble.

Caitlyn's Ear

Well, Caitlyn started complaining of an ear ache last night. She was up several times in the night needing more Motrin for the pain. By this morning, it was clear that she needed to see a Dr. Why do they always get sick on the weekends? We got to Urgent Care when they opened at 10:00 and there were 9 people in front of us. UGH! We signed in and walked over to Starbucks. We spent the next hour and a half walking around the strip mall outside. It was probably 70 degrees and beautiful sunshine after four days of rain. So much for going to a park. The girls really didn't know the difference. They were happy to run around and be outside. We finally saw the same Dr. who saw Ashley. He confirmed Caitlyn's ear infection and checked to see if Ashley's had healed. Armed with another prescription, we were home by 12:30.
